Formuler and Enigma2 boxes are the enthusiasts' choice for
IPTV in Canada: dedicated tuners, hybrid satellite + IPTV bouquets,
and total control of the channel line-up. This guide covers the five setup methods we
support on every current Formuler (Z10, Z11 Pro, Z11 Pro Max, CC-One) and every
Enigma2 box (Vu+, Zgemma, Octagon, older Formuler F-series). From the 2-minute
MYTVOnline 3 route on Formuler to the 5-minute auto-script on Enigma2, all work with
our
$19.99 CAD plan.
Every Formuler box and every Enigma2 receiver
(Vu+, Zgemma, Octagon and older Formuler F-series) can run IPTV in
under 10 minutes. Just pick the right method for your box. Formuler owners have
MYTVOnline 3 pre-installed and are online in under 2 minutes; Enigma2 owners choose
between a modern Telnet auto-script or the traditional FTP bouquet upload. Every
method below works with the same Xtream Codes credentials or personal bouquet file
from your iptv subscription, with no re-buying whichever one you settle on.
Short on time? The three methods that cover 95% of setups:
MYTVOnline 3 is the native IPTV app on every Formuler box: pre-installed, tuned for the Formuler hardware, and by far the easiest way to run our iptv service on a Formuler Z10, Z11 Pro or CC-One. It handles Xtream Codes login out of the box, downloads a full EPG in seconds and supports 4K HEVC HDR playback with Dolby audio passthrough.
Log in via
Xtream Codes API or M3U URL
Supported boxes
Formuler Z8 · Z10 · Z11 Pro · Z11 Pro Max · CC · CC-One
Step-by-step
1
Boot your Formuler
Plug the Formuler into your TV via HDMI, connect Ethernet (strongly recommended for stable HD/4K playback), and power on. The Formuler home screen appears. MYTVOnline 3 is the big tile at the top.
2
Open MYTVOnline → Add Portal
Launch MYTVOnline 3 → hit the "+" tile → choose "Portal Type: Xtream Codes API" (recommended over M3U).
3
Enter your credentials
Nickname (e.g. IPTV Canada) → server URL → username → password from your welcome message. Save.
4
Wait for the EPG
MYTVOnline downloads your full channel list and 7-day EPG within about 30 seconds. Poster art and film covers fill in over the next minute.
5
Enable 4K + Dolby passthrough
Menu → Settings → Audio → set to "Passthrough" for Dolby Atmos/DTS on films. Menu → Video → set output to Auto so HDR / Dolby Vision engages on 4K Canadian channels included in your iptv subscription.
Tip
If MYTVOnline says "Server unreachable", WhatsApp us to confirm your account is active: every new iptv trial with us is provisioned within 10 minutes of ordering.
OTT Navigator is the perfect companion to MYTVOnline on any Formuler box: a completely independent second player that runs Xtream Codes, M3U and even Stalker Portal emulation side by side. Every Formuler owner should install it as a backup so a single-app crash never takes down your evening viewing. Also the go-to on non-Formuler Android boxes.

M3U URL · Xtream Codes API · Stalker Portal emulation
Supported boxes
Formuler Z8/Z10/Z11/CC · every Android TV box
Step-by-step
1
Install from Google Play
Formuler → Google Play Store → search "OTT Navigator". Install (free tier is fully usable).
2
Add a playlist
Open the app → Settings → Playlists → Add → choose Xtream Codes. Nickname it "IPTV Canada".
3
Paste your login
Server URL + username + password from your welcome message. Save.
4
Configure the EPG
Settings → EPG → OTT Navigator auto-detects the XMLTV bundled with your iptv subscription. Manual XMLTV URL available on request.
5
Enable catch-up TV
Long-press any channel with a catch-up icon → Timeshift. Rewind up to 7 days on supported Canadian channels from our iptv service.
Tip
Set OTT Navigator as your fallback: MYTVOnline for daily use, OTT Navigator when MYTVOnline needs an update. Same iptv subscriptions credentials work in both.
The fast route on any Enigma2 box (Vu+, Zgemma, Octagon, older Formuler F-series). We send you a single-line wget/curl command; you paste it into the box via Telnet or SSH; it creates a fully populated "IPTV Canada" bouquet and reloads the settings. No FTP, no manual bouquet files, no fiddling with editor bouquets. This is the modern replacement for the old bouquet-upload method and works on every current Enigma2 image (OpenATV, OpenPLi, VIX).
Menu → Setup → System → Network → confirm Telnet or SSH is enabled. Note the box's IP address (typically 192.168.x.x). Default login for most images: root / no password.
2
WhatsApp us for the auto-script command
Send us your order details. We reply with a one-line wget command that pulls your personalised bouquet installer from our server.
3
Open Telnet from your PC or phone
On PC: use PuTTY (Windows) or Terminal (Mac) → telnet 192.168.x.x → root. On phone: use JuiceSSH (Android) or Termius (iOS).
4
Paste the command and press Enter
Paste the one-liner. The script downloads your bouquet, drops it into /etc/enigma2/, appends the include line to bouquets.tv and reloads settings, all in about 10 seconds.
5
Restart GUI and enjoy
On the box: Menu → Standby/Restart → Restart GUI. When it comes back up, hit the TV button on the remote. The new "IPTV Canada" bouquet is at the top of the list, grouped by category (Canadian, French, sports, films, series, kids, international).
Tip
If your box doesn't have wget, ask us for the curl version of the same script. It works identically. Every current Enigma2 image ships with at least one.
The traditional Enigma2 setup that has worked since the very first Vu+ Duo. We generate a userbouquet file for your iptv subscription and email it over; you drop it into /etc/enigma2/ on the box using FileZilla and add one include line to bouquets.tv. Slower than the auto-script method but doesn't need Telnet access, so it's useful if your box has FTP but not SSH.
Log in via
FTP client (FileZilla / WinSCP) → /etc/enigma2/
Supported boxes
Vu+ · Zgemma · Octagon · every Enigma2 box
Step-by-step
1
Enable FTP on your Enigma2 box
Menu → Setup → System → Network → confirm FTP is enabled. Note the box IP (typically 192.168.x.x). Default login on most images: root / (blank password).
2
Get your bouquet file from us
WhatsApp us with your order details. We email a file named userbouquet.iptv-uk.tv and a single line of text to append to bouquets.tv, both tied to your iptv trial credentials.
3
Connect with FileZilla
Open FileZilla on your PC → Host: box IP, Username: root, Port: 21, blank password → Connect. On the right pane navigate to /etc/enigma2/.
4
Upload and edit
Drop userbouquet.iptv-uk.tv into /etc/enigma2/. Open bouquets.tv in FileZilla's built-in editor and append the include line we sent (usually one line starting "#SERVICE 1:7:1:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:FROM BOUQUET..."). Save.
5
Reload settings on the box
On the Enigma2 box: Menu → Standby/Restart → Restart GUI. Hit the TV button on the remote. The new "IPTV Canada" bouquet appears at the top of the bouquet list.
Tip
Keep only one active IPTV bouquet at a time: running two overlapping bouquets from different iptv subscriptions causes channel-number clashes with your existing FTA / satellite channels.
Xtreamity is the Enigma2 plugin equivalent of IPTV Smarters Pro: you install it once, enter your Xtream Codes credentials on the box, and it presents your entire iptv subscription (Live TV, Movies, Series) as a Kodi-style interface inside Enigma2. Great for viewers who want VOD and series on their satellite receiver without messing with bouquets.
Log in via
Xtream Codes API (entered on the box)
Supported boxes
Vu+ · Zgemma · Octagon · every OpenATV/OpenPLi image
Step-by-step
1
Install the Xtreamity plugin
On the Enigma2 box: Menu → Plugins → Green button (Download) → Extensions → Xtreamity → Install. Reboot when prompted.
2
Open Xtreamity
Menu → Plugins → Xtreamity. On first launch it asks for a portal.
3
Enter your Xtream Codes login
Portal name (e.g. IPTV Canada) → server URL → username → password from your welcome message. Save.
4
Browse Live TV, Movies, Series
Xtreamity home screen shows three tiles (Live TV, Movies, Series) populated from your iptv service. Use the remote arrows and OK to navigate.
5
Pin to the home menu
Xtreamity → Settings → "Add to Main Menu" so it launches from the Enigma2 home screen with one press, alongside your satellite bouquets.
Tip
Xtreamity works alongside a traditional bouquet: you can run both, so live TV zaps via bouquet keeps its channel numbers while VOD/Series lives in Xtreamity.
If you own a Formuler box (Z10, Z11 Pro, CC-One): use
MYTVOnline 3. It's pre-installed, native and ready in 2 minutes.
Install OTT Navigator alongside as your backup player and you're
bullet-proof.
If you own an Enigma2 box (Vu+, Zgemma, Octagon, older Formuler
F-series): use the auto-script method. Fall back to
manual FTP only if your box lacks Telnet/SSH. Add
Xtreamity if you want VOD and series alongside your existing
satellite bouquets.
Formuler Z10 / Z11 Pro / CC-One owners
Modern Formulers are Android TV boxes with a native IPTV app on top. MYTVOnline 3
delivers a proper 4K HDR experience with Dolby Vision passthrough: the best possible
front-end for our iptv service. Add TiviMate from the Play Store if
you want an Android TV player alongside MYTVOnline (see our
Nvidia Shield guide for TiviMate
setup; the same instructions apply).
Vu+ Duo, Zgemma H9/H10 & Octagon SF owners
Classic Enigma2. The auto-script is the modern way: one Telnet paste and your
bouquet is live. Enigma2's bouquet system integrates IPTV channels directly into
your zapping list, so a premium sport IPTV channel can sit right next to
your FTA Freesat channels. No other setup handles hybrid iptv
subscriptions and satellite this cleanly.
Xtreamity for VOD lovers
Enigma2 bouquets are brilliant for live TV but not designed for VOD. Xtreamity
bolts on a Kodi-style VOD/Series interface using the same Xtream Codes credentials as
your bouquet. Install it on any Enigma2 box to get the best of both worlds from
one iptv subscription.

Every method on this page works with our $19.99 CAD plan:
same Xtream Codes credentials, same personalised bouquet file, same 24/7 support on
WhatsApp. One set of iptv subscriptions credentials works on
Formuler, Enigma2, Fire Stick, Apple TV, Smart TV, phone or tablet. A plan is restricted
to one device, and if you have multiple devices message us for the multi-device plan.
Frequently asked questions
What makes a Formuler IPTV box different from a generic Android box?
The interface. A Formuler IPTV box runs MYTVOnline, a portal-first layer built specifically for this job, so it boots into a channel grid rather than an app launcher and the bundled IPTV remote behaves like a traditional TV remote. A generic Android box makes you install and configure a player yourself. If you want IPTV a box can run without any setup ritual, Formuler is the shortest path, and unlike Enigma2 receivers there is no plugin to install over SSH.
Do Formuler and Enigma2 handle 4K properly?
Formuler Z11 and CC-One handle 4K live IPTV without difficulty, and setting video output to Auto lets HDR and Dolby Vision engage where the source carries them. Enigma2 receivers vary far more: newer Vu+ and Octagon units are fine, older Zgemma models are 1080p in practice whatever the box claims. As always, the feed decides. These are the best IPTV solutions for a portal-style setup, but no box turns a 1080p channel into a 4K one.
Formuler or Enigma2: which is easier to set up in 2026?
Formuler by a mile. MYTVOnline 3 is pre-installed on every current Formuler box (Z10, Z11 Pro, CC-One). You just enter your Xtream Codes login and you're watching Canadian channels in under 2 minutes. Enigma2 (Vu+, Zgemma, Octagon) needs either the auto-script (fast, needs Telnet) or the FTP bouquet upload (slower, more manual). Both work with the same Best IPTV Box iptv subscription on our side.
Do I need to know Linux to set up IPTV on Enigma2?
No. With the auto-script method we walk you through the two Telnet commands via WhatsApp. If you can copy and paste, you can set up an Enigma2 box on our iptv service. Every Best IPTV Box iptv trial customer with a Vu+ or Zgemma follows the same auto-script and it works first time on 95%+ of boxes.
Will these methods work on my older Vu+ Duo or Zgemma H9?
Yes. Every method in this guide works on any Enigma2 box running OpenATV, OpenPLi or VIX images from 2019 onward. The auto-script and manual FTP paths are firmware-agnostic. Xtreamity requires the plugin repositories that ship with any modern Enigma2 image. Even a Vu+ Duo2 from 2013 handles our iptv free trial without a hiccup.
Can I use the same iptv subscription on my Formuler and other devices?
Your Best IPTV Box credentials work in any of those apps (Formuler, Enigma2, Fire Stick, Apple TV, Smart TV, phone, tablet) so you can move the line to a different box whenever you like. A standard plan is still restricted to one device, so it is one at a time rather than all of them. If you have multiple devices you want running, we do offer a multi-device plan: message us on WhatsApp and we will add it. See our Fire Stick, Apple TV and Mobile & Tablet installation guides for those devices.
Does the Enigma2 bouquet break my satellite / FTA channels?
No. The auto-script and FTP upload methods add your IPTV bouquet as an additional bouquet, not a replacement. Your existing satellite, FTA and terrestrial bouquets stay exactly where they are. If you ever want to remove IPTV, delete the userbouquet file from /etc/enigma2/ and restart GUI. Clean removal, no side effects on your iptv subscriptions.
Is IPTV on Formuler and Enigma2 safe and legal in Canada?
Installing MYTVOnline, OTT Navigator, Xtreamity and running Enigma2 bouquets is 100% legal: MYTVOnline is Formuler's own app, OTT Navigator is on the official Google Play Store, and Enigma2 is a mainstream open-source TV OS. What you watch through them depends on your iptv subscription. Every Best IPTV Box iptv trial ships from licensed servers with a support team on WhatsApp answering 24/7.
How long does Formuler / Enigma2 setup actually take?
Formuler with MYTVOnline: under 2 minutes end-to-end (add portal → enter Xtream Codes → done). Enigma2 with the auto-script: under 5 minutes including the Telnet paste. Enigma2 with manual FTP: about 10 minutes. Every Best IPTV Box iptv free trial customer with a Formuler or Enigma2 box is up and watching on day one.
